This artwork celebrates some of our more unique birds found within Australian across a diptych curatation. These two canvases each depict an endangered wren found within Australia, the first a ‘Purple Crowned Fairywren’ and the second a "‘Mallee-Emu Wren’. The small nature of the canvases acts to frame the naturally tiny birds as if you are bringing a piece of the beautiful Australian wildlife into your home. Sadly, both these little birds are classified as endangered, so as well as accentuating the naturally bold colours and cheeky nature of them, these artwork also aim to raise awareness towards some of our endangered animals.
