Little Bluegum is inspired by growing up listening to one of my mums favourite book series called The Adventures of Little Jean. In these books a little Australian girl roams the Australian bush looking for adventures and causing mischief with her koala friend called Bluegum. Little Bluegum is created out of thousands of tiny ink dots which build up the delicate tonal definition which creates a subject which embodies a little bit of this cheeky character and a lot of Australian spirit. This artwork took over 120 hours to complete, and is currently framed in an A2 sized rustic wooden frame with mount board, which is included in the purchase.
